Thanks for the photo upload Jovino! These Yip-Yips are definitely one of the highlights of my generations Sesame Street. Watch the Yip-Yip skit to see the inspirations for these cool costumes.

Cowles Sunrise in HDR

March 8th, 2007  |  Published in Photos

Photo of a sunrise as viewed from Cowles mountain.I created this HDR image from photos I took while hiking on Cowles mountain early one morning not far from the 3/4 mile marker. The view is facing southwest and if the marine layer wasn’t there you would be able to see Coronado, downtown San Diego, and Point Loma. I didn’t have my tripod with me and since HDR reqires multiple exposures I had to lay on top of this rock to keep the images as aligned.

Mobile Skype Phone

Picture of mobile Skype phone from NetgearToday my friend Todd emailed me a link to the NETGEAR Skype Phone. I vaguely recall reading about the concept of wifi mobile phones but this is the first I’ve heard of something materializing.

This device could work great in cities with public Wi-Fi coverage. Especially for traveling abroad. I imagine it being more practical around the home on one’s personal wireless network. Depending on the cost the savings potential is huge for a person making frequent international calls. In the mean time I’ll stick with my Packet8 internet phone (Voice over Internet Protocol).

Browser Nostalgia

Ye Olde Browser Archive is an excellent resource if you ever need to QA your work in an older browser, you’ll find it there. It also reminds me back to a time when tables and font tags ruled. I’m glad times have changed.
